Hunting Information
Turtle River Whitetail Outfitters Inc offers Rifle/Muzzleloader/Archery Whitetail Deer Hunts to a limited number of discriminating clients looking for an opportunity to bag a trophy class animal.
All our rifle/muzzleloader/archery deer hunts are done under the rules of fair chase as there are no high fences. Our whitetail hunts were created for the sole purpose of providing the hunter with a high quality and exclusive hunting experience like no other. All food, lodging, guides, field dressing, stands, caping and antler preparation, shipping container, transportation to and from the stand locations.
All hunting is done from ground blinds with many locations on the edges of bedding areas, funnels between bedding and feeding area, water holes, and much more. We have heated stand sites that are strategically located near rub lines, scrape lines and travel corridors. In Saskatchewan it is legal to use bait and we use the BEST bait which includes grain and fresh 2nd cut high quality alfalfa and plenty of it. The baits are baited for weeks before our hunts start so the deer are accustomed to coming to the bait area. We use trail cameras to constantly monitor the baits which gives us the chance to put our hunters where the big boys are hanging out.
A typical day consists of an all-day hunt. We get up early, have breakfast then head out to the hunt area before daylight. You will have a 30-minute drive by vehicle to get to our 50 square mile hunting area followed by a 5-to-45-minute quad ride to your hunting stand. Lunches and thermoses are prepared fresh each morning and eaten while hunting. Then at the end of legal hunting you are picked up and come to the lodge for an evening meal you will remember.

Bringing Guns Into Canada
Canadian laws require that every visitor to Canada bringing firearms must comply with a registration process.
Non-Resident Firearms Declaration Forms are available at the Canadian Firearms website.
The Non-Resident Firearms Declaration Form CAFC 909 EF, and it’s continuation sheet Form CAFC 910 EF (you will need ADOBE Reader to view these forms) must be presented in triplicate, unsigned, to a customs officer at your first point of entry into Canada (NOTE do not sign them until you are present in front of the Canadian Customs officer).
The fee for this Non-Resident Firearms Declaration process is twenty five ($25.00) Canadian dollars.
Legal Issues
If you have had an impaired driving or other criminal charge, your ability to cross borders can be impaired. Please verify your ability to enter Canada before booking a hunt.

Wounded Animal Policy
If an animal is wounded and not recovered immediately your hunt will stop until your guide/outfitter decides differently.
We need enough time to make every effort possible to retrieve wounded animals before your hunt can continue. This is the law for hunting in Saskatchewan and it stops the unnecessary waste of big game animals. We follow all game laws in Saskatchewan so please do not ask us to do otherwise.
